Colorific feathers are strong duck feathers, making them perfect for classroom use. We have 2 sizes for different project use: vibrant colourfast colours or natural colours...there's something to meet all your feathery needs!

So...what else can we do with feathers?
- The most obvious…birds! Collage birds on cards, 3D birds from foam or modeling clay…enough said!
- Embellished pencils/pens. Makes them easy to find, and less disposable if they are fun and personalised. Maybe they could even be the reward – write with the feather pen as a treat and it may encourage students to be ‘worthy’ of the feather pen…
- Use them as a pen. Create the old pen and ink scenario. Snip the end (diagonally) off a large feather, use ink or water down some paint, then dip the end in and write! It does take some practice and tweaking, but it is so much fun! Combine with a history lesson!
- Dreamcatcher embellishments, the polka dot feathers are great for this. You can use the White Card Frames or a circular frame made from winding stems together to give strength and colour vibrancy. Cut 3 lengths to tie to the bottom of the dreamcatcher and thread some beads and feathers on. Thread some feathers in the criss crossed weaving of the circle too for good effect.
- Make a feather bouquet. Group some whispy small feathers together and wrap with a stem, glue on a feather for a leaf about 1/2 way down. Make a few using different colours – try to match to real flowers – yellow centre, coloured outer.
- A feather derby...using straws and small feathers line up groups of starters and have students blow through the straw to direct their feather around an obstacle course or in a straight line to the finish. Just don't make the course too long or they may get dizzy! We guarantee lots of laughs with this one...
